UNABLE TO CONNECT TO RDP SERVER IN REMMINA

Imagen
One of the tools I use on a daily basis to manage my Windows servers is  Remmina , which is a multi-protocol remote  desktop  and ssh client. In general it works great, except there were a fewWindows 2008 R2 servers in my environment that would not let me connect with Remmina. When I tried to connect I would get an error saying: Unable to Connect To RDP Server x.x.x.x I finally figured out a fix. Here's what you do: Right click on the problem server, and click  Edit Click on the  Advanced  tab Under  Security , change  the drop  down from  Negotiate  to  TLS Click  Save That's it, now you should be able to remote  desktop  into your  Windows  2008 R2 servers in Remmina! OTHER Answers up vote 70 down vote I too had the problem that I could connect to a Windows 7 machine and suddenly (after weeks) I got this error: Unable to connect to RDP server I...

How to use a Windows PFX certificate with pfSense

Imagen
Thanks to: https://knowledge.zomers.eu Windows and Unix/Linux are still two different worlds. Also when it comes to certificates. This article will explain the steps needed to utilize a Windows certificate on a pfSense server. Vital is to realize you will need to have access to the certificate with the private key included. Furthermore the certificate must be created with the allow private key to be exported option on. Otherwise it is not possible to export your certificate to pfSense. First you need to create a PFX export of the certificate you wish to use on pfSense. If you already have this PFX, skip right to step 17. If you don't have a PFX yet, there are many ways to export existing certificates on Windows to a PFX. I will describe one common method for this in the next few steps. On the server which contains the certificate you wish to use on pfSense, boot up a command prompt console and type mmc followed by pressing enter. Through the  File  menu at the top,...

Exchange Mail Routing Issue '451 5.7.3 Cannot achieve Exchange Server authentication'

Imagen
Thanks to: http://www.petenetlive.com/ Problem While putting in a New Exchange 2010 server today, I test moved a mailbox to this new site, and could not get mail to flow to the Exchange 2010 server at the clients main site. 451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with: "451 5.7.3 Cannot achieve Exchange Server authentication." Attempted failover to alternate host , but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternative hosts, or delivery failed to all alternative hosts. Mail flowed from the main site to this new site, and internal mail at the new site was fine, but any mail destined for the main site, or going external (because the main site has the only server that can use the Exchange organization send connector) would fail with this error. Solution I did a lot of trawling to try and find the answer to this, and discovered lots of reasons for this to happen, so rather than just posting what fixed mine, from the most popular to the most obscure try ...

How to configure a Cisco ASA Site to Site VPN between Static and Dynamic IP based Peers

Imagen
Thanks to: http://itzecurity.blogspot.com/ ASA-ASA VPN: One Static & One Dynamic address To configure a Site to Site VPN between 2 Peers ; one with a Dynamic IP and the other with a static IP a dynamic crypto map is used. However as the static based peer will be unaware of the remote peers IP the VPN can only be initated from the dynamic side.   Note  : Unlike other vendors (such as the Juniper SRX), main mode is used for phase 1 negotiations between the dynamic/static based peers (this can be confirmed via the command 'sh vpn-sessiondb detail l2l'). On the Peer that has a static IP, the configuration is pretty standard. The only difference being is that a dynamic crypto map is configured.A dynamic crypto map is a crypto map that does not have all of the parameters defined, these are then later learnt at the point that the IPsec tunnel is formed. Note  : The dynamic crypto map should have the highest sequence number within the crypto map...
